In this project, photographs are taken of different people's hair. Hair is something that defines us, that we can wear in a thousand ways and colors; short, long, medium, curly, straight, in a bun, in a ponytail, with bangs, with highlights, natural or dyed, shaved, with gray hair... It represents us and we feel identified with it, if we don't like it we can change it. It symbolizes strength, freedom, beauty and power. It is directly linked to the dignity of being, to the essence of power. This series of photographs uses hair as a metaphor for how different we are. "We express ourselves through our hair, even without wanting to. You are what your hair is," Deborah Tolman.
